The Intimacy Unfurling Framework
A Personalized, Trauma-Informed & Somatic Pathway
For men, women, and couples ready for more truth, more connection, and more erotic aliveness.*
Your intimacy is not a staircase with one correct next step. It is a living ecosystem—shaped by your own lived experience, from the nervous system, the attachment history, the inner landscape of parts and protectors, and the particular quality of longing that is native to each person and each relationship.
The Intimacy Unfurling Framework helps us understand that ecosystem. It honors what erotic aliveness actually is, where it comes from, why it collapses—and how it can be cultivated, tended, and allowed to deepen over the course of a lifetime together.
For individuals & couples • Includes 30 Days of Email/Text Support, At-Home Practices, Weekly Mapping & Tracking, and access to The Embody Pleasure Community

Where You May Be Arriving From
You may arrive because desire has gone quiet, sex has stopped, or the intimacy you share no longer reflects the love between you. One partner may reach while the other braces, withdraws, complies, or shuts down. What looks like a high-libido/low-libido mismatch may have become a cycle of urgency, pressure, rejection, resentment, and increasing distance.
You may feel disconnected from your own erotic self. You may experience arousal without genuine turn-on, desire without an easy physical response, pleasure that is difficult to receive, sexual pain, erection or orgasm concerns, or a sense that you are performing rather than participating from inside your body.
Perhaps trauma, medical experiences, birth, surgery, chronic stress, pain, hormonal changes, scar tissue, shame, or relationship ruptures have changed what your body can access. Or perhaps nothing is obviously ‘wrong’—you simply know there is more depth, vitality, pleasure, or erotic expression available than you have learned how to inhabit.
This work begins by shifting the question from “What is wrong with me—or with us?” to “What has shaped this experience, what is the body protecting, and what conditions would allow something new to emerge?”
Every Path Is Specific
For men navigating performance pressure, erectile inconsistency, ejaculation struggles, shame, urgency, rejection, disconnection, or the longing for more confidence and deeper embodied connection.
Learn MoreFor women experiencing low desire, numbness, shutdown, pain, difficulty receiving, body distrust, resentment, or the desire to feel more connected to pleasure, truth, and erotic aliveness. Also ask about scar tissue remediation.
Learn MoreFor couples caught in pursuit and withdrawal, rejection and pressure, desire discrepancy, sexual disconnection, or the painful distance between the intimacy they have and the intimacy they sense is possible.
Learn MoreA Living Container
“This framework does not ‘teach’ you about your erotic aliveness. It walks alongside you as you discover it—at the pace your nervous system can actually integrate, in the sequence your lived experience actually calls for.”
This is not a ‘course’ that can be purchased. It is a living framework—one I use with my clients as a container for real-time embodied transformation. The material unfurls according to what your system is ready to meet.
You do not move through it at your own pace in the way a course is paced. There is no ‘module’ to fall behind on. There is no content to consume.
There is only what is true in your body right now—and the guided inquiry that meets you there.
For couples, the pacing belongs not only to either partner, but also to the relational field: the living space between two nervous systems, two histories, two sets of protective patterns, and two distinct erotic selves. The work honors the timing of each person and what the relationship itself can safely integrate.
“Not explosive. Not performed. Not produced on demand. Erotic expression that unfurls—slowly, organically, more deeply each time you return to it.”
It is pleasure that grows capacity. Desire that has conditions in which to arise. Erotic expression that becomes more authentic as you learn to recognize your responses, trust your impulses, make conscious choices, and remain in relationship with yourself and another person.
The goal is not to manufacture a sexual outcome. It is to help more of you become available for intimacy, connection, pleasure, and aliveness.
Interdependent Dimensions of One Living System
Most approaches to erotic difficulty focus on one layer: communication, or technique, or novelty, or desire discrepancy. The Unfurling works across multiple integrated layers—because erotic aliveness is not a single-layer problem, but a living dynamic.
These are not separate modules or a required order. They are interdependent dimensions of one living system, and we work with them according to your needs, timing, and capacity. Open any territory to read more about how we may work within it.
Everything you experience intimately passes through the body. We may map the conditions under which you soften, connect, mobilize, brace, rush, perform, please, numb, freeze, withdraw, or collapse. These responses are not character flaws. They are intelligent patterns that developed for a reason—and patterns can become more flexible when they are met with enough safety, precision, and choice.
This foundation supports a wider capacity to stay present with sensation, emotion, closeness, difference, anticipation, and erotic charge without automatically moving into urgency, disconnection, or endurance.
Let’s explore the chemistry of intensity and survival sex, and why urgency can masquerade as passion. What patterns and survival strategies have created a threat cycle that often gets labeled as “mismatched desires or libidos”?
Distinguishing spontaneous from responsive desire, tension-release arousal from genuine erotic wanting, and pleasurable sensation from a goal-driven sexual response can be profoundly de-shaming. It also helps us identify the conditions that support your erotic self as it exists now—not the self you believe you should be.
Our earliest experiences of attunement, need, closeness, separation, shame, permission, and belonging often continue to shape how we reach, receive, refuse, lead, yield, trust, and repair. Parts of you may long for intimacy while other parts work hard to prevent exposure, rejection, engulfment, loss of control, or harm.
Rather than trying to overpower those protectors, we learn what they are protecting and help them develop a new relationship with the pleasure-capable, choice-capable, and relationally present self.
Sexual health and pleasure are also shaped by the whole body. We may consider pain, pelvic or hormonal changes, medication effects, blood flow, sleep, chronic conditions, birth or surgical experiences, scar tissue, fascial restriction, sensory sensitivity, energetic depletion, and other physical or biochemical influences.
When appropriate and within my scope, in-person work may include WHOLE bodywork, touch education, direct-experience learning, nervous system support, pleasure anatomy, and scar tissue remediation. When another kind of medical or therapeutic support would serve you, the map helps clarify that, too.
Consent is more than an intellectual yes or no. It includes the capacity to sense what you want, what you do not want, what is not yet, what you are willing to give, and what you genuinely wish to receive—in real time, without a change of mind becoming a rupture.
We may use Betty Martin’s Wheel of Consent to clarify whose pleasure an experience is for, and Jaiya’s Erotic Blueprints to better understand the erotic languages, cues, and pathways that help each person come alive. Erotic Blueprints never appear alone; they are expressed through nervous-system capacity, attachment, sensory preferences, protective patterns, learning history, and the relational field.
A couple’s difficulty rarely belongs to one person alone. It often lives in the pattern that arises between them: reaching and retreating, urgency and pressure, anticipation and bracing, giving and enduring, initiating and fearing rejection, or avoiding the subject until both people feel alone.
We map the cycle without assigning blame. We build the capacity to notice subtle cues, tolerate difference, communicate from the body rather than defensiveness, repair moments of misattunement, and create conditions in which both partners’ desires matter.
Polarity is not first about gender or fixed roles. It is the creative tension between living differences: expansion and containment, receptivity and direction, stillness and movement, longing and fulfillment, leading and yielding.
Erotic charge grows when the body can hold difference and anticipation without rushing toward discharge or collapsing into sameness. We may explore internal polarity, the difference between a reflexive response and an authentic impulse, containment, attuned leadership, chosen surrender, and the cultivated erotic expression that becomes possible when agency and receptivity can coexist.
As capacity grows, erotic expression becomes something you author rather than something that happens to you. We may explore the cultivated erotic persona—the deliberate, playful, unapologetic expression of who you are choosing to become—and the practices that keep that expression alive and evolving.
This is the unfurling itself: integration. The practices become yours. The framework recedes, and what remains is a living intimacy that continues to unfold, deepen, and evolve—on its own timing, in its own way.
You may enter these territories in this order. You almost certainly won’t. That’s the design.
The Entry Point · Always
Before we choose a path, we learn what is actually happening.
The Mapping Session is a personalized exploration of the patterns, conditions, obstacles, capacities, and longings shaping your intimacy, pleasure, desire, sexual expression, or relationship. You may attend individually or as a couple, virtually or in person in Boulder, CO.
Depending on what brings you, we may map:
You leave with a clearer, de-shamed understanding of what may be shaping the experience and an initial map for moving forward. Your session also includes 30 Days of Email/Text Support, At-home Practices & Weekly Mapping and Tracking, and access to the Embody Pleasure Community.
A Mapping Session and 30 Days of Integrated support can be a complete and valuable experience on its own. There is no pressure to continue. If ongoing work would support you, we will use the map to choose the form, depth, and pacing that best fits.
Possible Pathways
There is no automatic next step and no prescribed route. Your map may point toward one pathway, a blend of pathways, or a period of integration before anything more is needed.
When ongoing virtual support is desired, we work within a three-month coaching or mentorship container. Sessions may include personalized education, nervous-system and somatic tracking, parts work, relational coaching, partnered practices, erotic development, and resources selected from the complete Intimacy Unfurling body of work.
High-touch support between sessions helps the work remain connected to daily life, so an insight does not have to wait weeks to be understood or integrated.
Learn MoreIn-person work allows us to include what cannot be fully accessed through conversation alone. Depending on your needs and consent, sessions may combine coaching, body-based inquiry, nervous-system education, hands-on bodywork, touch education, direct-experience practices, emotional release support, sensory exploration, and scar tissue remediation.
Touch is never presumed. It is discussed, chosen, paced, and continually negotiated. The body’s present-time response remains part of the conversation throughout.
Learn MoreFor individuals or couples who would benefit from concentrated, uninterrupted support, a multi-day Immersion Retreat creates space to work at greater depth. This is not an indulgent escape or a quick fix. It is a carefully paced environment for nervous-system-level learning, direct experience, integration, and the repair or development that often requires more spaciousness than a standard session can provide.
An Immersion is considered only after the Mapping Session, when we have enough understanding to determine whether this level of support is appropriate and how it should be designed.
Learn MoreInside the Circle Community
The Intimacy Unfurling Framework is hosted on Circle—a private, dedicated community platform. But what makes this space different is not the technology. It is who is in it.
Every single person inside this community is an existing private coaching client. Not a stranger who purchased a course. Not someone you have never encountered. Every couple, every individual learning alongside you is someone who is already in a professional relationship with me—someone I know, someone I am holding, someone who is doing this work with the same seriousness and care that brought you here.
This means the container is not just moderated. It is held. There is no anonymous stranger dynamic. There is no comment section that feels unsafe. There is no need to brace yourself for what someone else might bring into a space that is supposed to support your opening.
You are not learning alongside strangers. You are learning alongside people whose growth I am personally invested in—in a space I can hold the same way I hold a coaching container.
What the Community Makes Possible
There is something that becomes available when you realize you are not the only couple navigating this—that the territory you are in is one that others know, and your experience is held in a wider field of shared understanding.
Each territory has a dedicated space for reflection, questions, and responses. You can bring what arose during a practice, what landed differently than you expected, or what you are still sitting with.
You can participate under a pseudonym or anonymously within the community. Your privacy is fully protected. You choose how much of yourself to bring forward, and when.
I am not a passive moderator. I am in the community—reading, responding, holding the thread of each person’s process in the context of what I know of them from our work together. The community is a continuation of the coaching, not separate from it.
In erotic development work, isolation is one of the greatest obstacles—the sense that what you are experiencing is unusual, or shameful, or something no one else would understand. The community dissolves that, not through forced sharing, but through the simple, felt experience of being in a room where everyone is reaching for the same thing.
Erotic development is one of the few areas where community support can either significantly deepen the work—or actively harm it. The wrong container creates shame, comparison, or the performance of progress rather than the reality of it.
The Circle community for The Intimacy Unfurling Framework is designed around one principle: the space should feel as safe as the coaching room. Not a public forum. Not a social media group. A private, held container where erotic development can be shared at whatever depth feels right for each person—knowing that everyone present is there with the same intention, under the same professional care.
Every Person & Relationship Unfolds Differently

In Their Words
“For decades, and with multiple therapists, I struggled with issues related to sex and intimacy, due to early childhood and other issues. I certainly managed my way through into my late 40s, but my wife and I hit a point at which, while things felt ‘fine’ overall, there was clearly a block. Connie simply worked magic with us. Not with a magic wand, reference to sexual techniques, or just telling me to move past it. She understood intuitively where I was and what I would need, far more than I ever had. Within a short period of time, our relationship in general and sex life in particular have been transformed, without ever once feeling like things were being forced or uncomfortable. She’s the ultimate professional who helps you reach potential far beyond your expectations and imagination.”
— BBR • Boulder, Colorado
“My husband and I, happily married for almost 20 years, started working with Connie about six months ago and it has been one of the best investments of time, energy and money that we’ve made for each of us individually and for our relationship. Connie is a wonderful listener and deeply attunes to each of us. During and after every session, Connie offers incredible insights and resources that have transformed my relationship to my own sexuality, as well as deepened intimacy with my husband. I am especially moved by how much my husband’s work with Connie in individual sessions has seemingly dissolved life-long issues relating to shame and discomfort around certain aspects of sexuality. I recommend her highly to anyone open to lasting transformation regarding their relationship to self/body/sexuality, as well as anyone interested in deepening their capacity for greater intimacy with partner(s).”
— LBR • Los Angeles, CA
“Connie is truly an expert in this field! I intentionally began working with her due to her diverse skill set, trustworthiness, and dependability. She exudes integrity and deeply desires the best outcome for her clients. I’ve thrown some difficult situations her way, yet she’s responded in each situation with resourcefulness, transparency, and compassion. As a client, I feel like Connie truly sees me for who I am and honors the journey I’m on with utmost care.”
— Ayce K • Longmont, CO
“Connie is truly an amazing person! Together we have taken on my most challenging issues and made huge strides. I am the happiest I have ever been and owe a great deal of that to her!”
— Mschwa • Charlottesville, VA
Who I Support
I work with individuals and couples who want to understand their experience at its roots—not simply add a technique on top of a body or relationship that is asking for something more precise.
You do not need to arrive with perfect language, a shared goal, or certainty about what comes next. You may come with a clear concern, a confusing pattern, a quiet longing, or the simple knowing that you want to feel more at home in your body and more available for authentic intimacy.
For couples, both partners’ experiences matter. The work does not begin by identifying who is the problem. It begins by understanding the pattern, protecting the dignity and agency of each person, and discovering where there is enough shared willingness to begin.
About Your Guide
Individual + Relational Healing | Trauma Reconciliation + Pleasure Reclamation
Connie helps individuals repair and re-pattern physical and emotional blocks to their vitality and their desire, so that as a couple they may experience deeper intimacy, authentic connection, and expanded sexual expression. Her work is hands-on when appropriate, client-centered, consent-based, and deeply informed by the intelligence of the body. Rather than treating erotic concerns as problems of technique or willpower, she helps clients understand the nervous-system, attachment, emotional, physical, biochemical, energetic, and relational conditions shaping their experience.

Common Questions
In-person sessions take place in my private session space in Boulder, Colorado, and are shaped around what your map has shown us is most relevant. Depending on your needs and consent, a session may include coaching conversation, nervous-system education and tracking, body-based inquiry, hands-on bodywork, touch education, direct-experience practices, emotional release support, sensory exploration, or scar tissue remediation. We always begin by checking in—what is present for you today, what your body has capacity for, and what would feel supportive to explore. Nothing is assumed in advance. Touch, when it is part of a session, is discussed explicitly, consented to in the moment, and can be paused or redirected at any time. Many people find that being in the room together allows for a depth of nervous-system attunement and embodied learning that is difficult to reach virtually.
